JEGA FLEX SERIES OF PRODUCTS CAN BE DELIVERED IN DIFFERENT VISCOSITIES. THEY CAN BE MANUFACTURED TO MATCH THE VISCOSITY OF THE PVA TO BE REPLACED. THEY ARE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL STARCHES, WAXES, LUBRICANTS, ANTISTATIC AGENTS, HUMECTANTS, SURFACTANTS AND OTHER PRODUCTS NORMALLY USED IN SIZING FORMULAS.
JEGA FLEX ALSO CAN REPLACE ALL BINDERS COMMONLY USED IN SIZING FORMULAS SUCH AS CMC, ACRYLICS [BOTH LIQUIDS / POWDER], AND POLYESTER RESINS. JEGA FLEX SERIES CAN BE USED IN NATURAL, SYNTHETIC, OR BLENDED SPUN FIBERS, INCLUDING COTTON, WOOL, SILK, RAYON’S, POLYESTERS, NYLONS, VISCOSE, AND ACETATE.
THE JEGAFLEX SERIES OF PRODUCTS DIFFERENCES AS COMPARED TO THE PENFLEX SERIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1) THE PENFLEX SERIES PROVIDED A DRY FILM COMPARED WITH PVA. PVA IS ONE OF THE GREAT HYGROSCOPIC AGENTS IN A SIZING FORMULA, ALLOWING THE YARN TO REABSORB HUMIDITY IN THE WEAVE ROOM AS REQUIRED. WHEN ONE REPLACED THE PVA WITH THE PENFLEX ON A 100% BASIS, THE TENDENCY WAS TO GET A FILM THAT WAS DRY IF THE OTHER INGREDIENTS IN THE FORMULA WERE NOT HYGROSCOPIC ENOUGH. THIS DRYNESS LED TO SOME FLAKING THAT WAS AT TIMES NOT AN ACCEPTABLE AND WAS MISCONSTRUED AS DUE TO LACK OF ADHESION.
WITH JEGAFLEX, THE SIZE FILM RETAINS ITS HYGROSCOPICITY OR ABILITY TO REABSORB HUMIDITY EVEN WHEN REPLACING THE PVA 100%. YOU WILL NOTICE ABSOLUTELY NO FLAKING EITHER IN THE FRONT END OF THE SIZING MACHINE OT THE LOOMS DURING THE WEAVING PROCESS. THIS ABILITY TO RETAIN MORE MOISTURE IN THE FILM WILL ALSO RESULT IN A VERY FLEXIBLE FILM NECESSARY IN SPEEDS OVER 1000 RPM’S.
2) WEFT STOPS REDUCED DUE TO AN IMPROVED FIBER LAYDOWN- SEE PICTURES- [the chemistry that provides the ability for better fiber lay down is described in PATENTS 4, 301, 017- 4, 375, 535, - 5, 130, 394]
3) ABILITY TO REPLACE NOT ONLY PVA, BUT OTHER BINDERS IN THE FORMULA TO INSURE LOWER COSTS.
4) EXCELLENT VISCOSITY STABILITY OVER A WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE.
5) IN ADDITION TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PVA, YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO REDUCE OTHER BINDERS IN THE FORMULATION. THIS WILL REDUCE COSTS SUBSTANTIALLY.
6) WITH THE JEGAFLEX SERIES, THE SIZE ADD ONS CAN BE UP TO 20% LESS, STILL PROVIDING ADDITIONAL COSTS SAVINGS.
JEGA FLEX PROVIDES GREAT IMPROVEMENT IN THE COATING OF THE YARN. ENCAPSULATION IS THE AMOUNT OF SIZE ON THE SURFACE OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE YARN. CONVENTIONAL SIZING PRODUCTS ONLY ENCAPSULATE APPROXIMATELY ONLY 270 DEGREES OF THE YARN SURFACE.
JEGA FLEX ENCAPSULATES APPROXIMATELY 360 DEGREES OF THE YARN SURFACE. THE EFFECT OF THIS COMPLETE ENCAPSULATION MEANS REDUCED SIZE AND FIBER SHEDDING DURING THE OPENING OF THE WARP SHEET AT THE FRONT OF THE SIZING MACHINE. THIS CREATES LOWER HAIRINESS AND RESULTS IN HIGHER WEAVING EFFICIENCIES.
